° ENG Finally, after 45 years, comes the soundtrack, from the original master tapes, of the truly mad and weird exploitation euro-erotic-horror cult movie filmed in 1971 (but released only in 1973) by Renato Polselli (Ralph Brown). Incomprehensible and inconceivable beyond the reach of the human intellect, Riti, magie nere e segrete orge nel trecento... shows a cult of pseudo-Satanists in tight red jumpsuit and black cape requiring the blood and eyes of seven virgins in order to resurrect the corpse of the persecuted witch Isabella (Rita Calderoni), who was impaled and burned at the stake some 500 years ago. A precious nonsensical gem, with nervous zooming, nude women's breasts in a colorful scenery, and an overly cryptic storyline; loony.

 

The soundtrack produced and composed by Gianfranco Reverberi encapsulates, in its fifteen total tracks (including the 2 released at the time on 45rpm vinyl), all typical sound elements of the “scary music” ‘of the seventies but with a hard lysergic touch of madness, experimentation and psychedelia. Female vocals give out agonizing and distressing groans, tribal African rhythmic, turned over words, plucked stings of the piano, baroque elements and lot of effects makes this soundtrack a cult object, not even to mention the obsessive care of the packaging.

 

Released in a limited edition of 666 numbered copies in gatefold heavy thick cover with front cover design by Michele Targonato with embossed flames. Bi-color red-blue vinyl. Includes digital download code.

Cinedelic realizza per la prima volta la versione in LP con free MP3 "Riti, magie nere e segrete orge nel Trecento", utilizzando i master tapes originali rimasti nascosti per 45 anni, in un’edizione gatefold limitata di 666 copie numerate, con disegno di copertina firmato da Michele Targonato con fiamme in rilievo e vinile bi-color rosso/blu.

 

Di questo finto Decamerone, presumendolo dal titolo, divenuto oramai un cult mondiale perchè in realtà è un horror psichedelico vampiresco di sacrifici rituali dai molti accenti erotici, la rivista ‘Nocturno’ ha scritto tempo addietro: “Un film sulla credulità popolare, sul fascino che il mistero esercita sulla gente comune: nei momenti di terrore gli occhi delle persone semplici vedono quello che la paura suggerisce loro…”. Diretto nel 1971, ma uscito solo due anni più tardi, da Renato Polselli, con Mickey Hargitay, Rita Calderoni, Raul Lovecchio, Tano Cimarosa e Krista Barrymore e commentato musicalmente da Gianfranco & Gian Piero Reverberi e Romolo Forlai (già diverse volte compositori per Polselli), con alcune musiche addizionali di Massimo Catalano e Mauro Chiari. La colonna sonora racchiude in sé, nei suoi quindici brani totali, tutti gli elementi sonori tipici della ‘scary music’ settantina, con interventi di gemiti vocali misti, angosciosi e angoscianti, un uso della ritmica tribale di matrice africana e il tema portante, un inciso psichedelico e disturbante tra il liturgico e il percussivo, a tratti quasi prog.  “Balsorano’s Castle è un breve tema di matrice morriconiana, classicheggiante e “A Full Coffin” una pagina tensiva d’azione, oltre al pianistico tra barocchismi e momenti jazzistici dixieland del “Decamerotic”. Ammaliante e suadente la versione per tromba solista del Leitmotiv principale “Black Secret” (B7), con intervento del moog; unico brano, insieme al brano di apertura (Orgiastic ritual), ad essere uscito al suo tempo su vinile in 45 giri. Un oggetto impertibile!
